Architect, designer, photographer and painter, Laleh Amir Assefi was born in Los Angeles, educated in Iran and France.  She specializes in the creation of public and cultural spaces, such as museums, hotel
decorations, restaurants and casinos and luxury Villa and Castle as well. Her style is a balanced blend of
western modernity and Eastern traditions. Inspired by the art of Persian calligraphy, she incorporates poetry
into her choice of light and furniture. Her work combines passion, opulence, and sophistication. Her design
concept takes you into a mystical journey where they are no borders neither territory, only appreciation for beauty
and aesthetics. Her recent realization of the Maison Revka Paris is a good example of these artistic conceptions and philosophy.

Today, Ms Amir Assefi undertakes projects both nationally and internationally as an independent architect and designer. Her style is a balanced mix of western modernity and eastern tradition. Inspired by
the art of Persian calligraphy, she incorporates poetry into her choice of light and furniture. Her work conveys passion, opulence, and sophistication. Her art takes you into a mystical journey where there are no borders or territories, only a universal appreciation for beauty and aesthetics but generally its all good.

The great British writer Rudyart Kipling wrote : "West is West, East is East, they never meet". I wanted to demonstrate the opposite and make the Chinese Club a place of encounters, the splendor and mysteries of the East meeting the joy and dynamism of the West.

  I want this encounter to be beautiful and a happy one. And it must be reflected in the form and finish of the materials. The verticality of the gold-colored sculpted columns is matched by the softness of the fabrics of the sheathed walls, the richly colored curtains and the curved shapes of the opulent and sensual benches evoking musical waves that envelop the clients in softness.
  The elaborate mirrors and the lights that fall on the radiant granite floor spin like stars towards the terrace. Everything blazes, the materials as well as the colors.

C’est dans les tumultes de l’Histoire contemporaine que Laleh Amir Assefi a commencé sa carrière. Née à Los Angeles, elle finit ses études secondaires sur les bancs de l’école française Jeanne d’Arc à Téhéran, où
elle apprend le français.

Elle part à Paris pour devenir architecte DPLG, étudie à La Sorbonne, se spécialise dans les équipements culturels, l’urbanisme et les espaces publics. A l’école d’architecture, elle est la première étudiante  à devenir major de sa promotion. A Paris, elle crée son agence de conseil en architecture. Puis, elle fait le pari de revenir à Téhéran par amour pour la culture persane. Conseillère auprès du Ministère de la culture et la mairie de Teheran, elle sera en charge de la revitalisation du patrimoine architectural de Téhéran où elle conduit d’ambitieux projets dans les domaines du théâtre, des musées, des bibliothèques, des parcs et centres culturels.

Enseignante à l’Université, son indépendance et sa liberté d’esprit commencent à manquer d’espace. D’où un retour en France.  Après avoir travaillé à Londres comme architecte en chef du bureau de Bouygues UK, elle retrouve Paris pour collaborer avec le décorateur et architecte d’intérieur Jacques Garcia, ambassadeur moderne d’une tradition du goût français. Elle dirige alors, en tant que directrice  artistique, les projets aux quatre coins du monde de l’agence Garcia , comme La Mamounia à Marrakech, Nomad hôtel à New York, Vagabond hôtel à
Singapour, Oscar Hôtel et le restaurant Park Chinois à Londres, mais aussi des casinos, des Hôtels, et des restaurants à Paris, Las Vegas, New york, Macao, Dubaï, Doha, Marrakech, Genève, Montreux , Enghien, Deauville et Santiago du Chiliautant de lieux où, en professionnelle attentive et intuitive, elle conçoit, orchestre ou réalise création, réhabilitation et décoration, mêlant glamour et ambiances chaleureuses.

Aujourd’hui, architecte, désigner et architecte d’intérieur indépendante, fondatrice de son agence Laleh Amirassefi Design, elle conduit des projets en France  et à l’international.  Son style se caractérise par les passerelles qu’elle dresse  dans ses créations entre les arts, les décorations et les réhabilitations. Elle y entrecroise les traditions orientales et la modernité occidentale. Ainsi, en s’inspirant de la calligraphie, elle a entrepris la création de luminaires et de mobiliers poétiques, deux de ses autres grandes passions inspirées des poètes mystiques persans ; autant de chemins vers la lumière et un monde sans frontières ni territoires, où seules comptent la beauté et l’esthétique.
